Friday Dec 28th -
NEW YEAR HOE DOWN

You have opened the presents, slept off the christmas dinner, mashed the potatoes and picked at that turkey carcuss for most of the week. You still have a weekend to go before you return to work. You are now thinking about new years eve (nervously).

So Friday 28th is the perfect time to celebrate the previous year and the year to come with friends at Royston Folk Club.

Headlined by Matt Woosey Band

Matt Woosey

We all loved Matt Woosey when he supported Edwina Hayes back in July
For the party of the year he is BACK and with his BAND
http://www.mattwoosey.co.uk/

Matt Woosey plays an acoustic guitar, he plays it fast and he plays it hard, sometimes with a slide but mostly without. At the end on the opening track 'Walking the blues' his suit jacket was off as he was dripping with sweat. This intensity continued throughout the set.

MARK GAMMON

Good friend and consistant Open Mic man starts our evening. Now I know Tony Buch has been jamming with Mark but then who hasnt so I suspect on this special night Mark may be inviting a few special guests to join him.

DELTA LADIES

Its blues Jim but not as you know it. Blue Grass to Hendrix via Gershwin. The Delta Ladies are the ultimate trip through eclectic to diversity ...

BEANS & BISCUITS

Beans & Biscuits are Mike's secret weapon in his plan for a special NEW YEAR HOE DOWN and we can imagine a wild old jam together at the end of the night. Only a few seats required on that night lads and lasses cos we are going to be dancing around the function room in our long johns come witching hour.
