After a 30 year hibernation Royston Folk Club was re-started in March 2012 by Mike Farrow
with Open Mic sessions on the "Second Friday of every month" and Concerts on the "Last Friday of every month"
Mike is very sure that he wants the musical mix at the club to be eclectic and entertaining. Hence you will find both trad and contemporary featured in the diary of concerts and welcomed at the open mic nights - You will find story telling vocals through trad folk tunes, to blues, blue grass, country, and modern singer songwriters and instrumentalists and even foot stomping folk dance groups. In fact even the odd electric bass or well tempered electric guitars wont get turned away. Specially if your name is Mark Knopfler.
"So for - folk music - read - good music" ... Tony Buch
