Sheri Kershaw Band

Sheri Kershaw

The Sheri Kershaw Band

Sheri Kershaw, known to many for 30 years as the wife of "diminutive" pop star Nik Kershaw, sang, recorded & performed around the world, supporting her husband on stage, Television and Radio. What is less known is that Sheri is no longer with Nick and has long been a performer and songwriter of stature in her own right, with an impressive CV of her own.

"Sheri's captivating and strongly personal songs will appeal to anyone who has found the dreams of maturity to be just as passionate as those of their youth. Her stunning voice can be sometimes softly Canadian, sometimes cool and jazzy, or then maybe hard-driving and blue. The depths and qualities of the emotions of which she sings so compellingly come from being no stranger to the public in another world of music, and from the experiences of the woman herself
" Hi all, I am a musician and music is where my heart has always been, an expression of love and joy as well as the sorrows we all share as humans. I started playing guitar when I was 13 and after learning the 'House of the Rising sun' (taught to me by my cousin) I found that all I wanted to do was write songs. I have a long list of influences in my life starting with Joni Mitchell who was my first love".

Sheri's charisma, fine guitar work and beautiful vocal range are perfecly complimented by the expressive lead guitar work of Martyn Hewitt and suptle 5 string bass of Chris Brimley . Making up a unique and immensly pleasing trio "The Sheri Kershaw Band" .
